Your challenge this month is to design a compact family vehicle based on this image. š
The use of this image can be graphical, form inspiring or even functional, you decide. The vehicle must be designed for the year 2031, you will be judged on overall design, style/technique, creativity and presentation. You can only submit one page and that must include a side view and a front and rear 3/4. Anything else that supports and explains you design can also be submitted on that one page.

In 2040 sustainability is more important than ever. We are pulling away from the costly metals and carbons and reverting back to traditional methods of crafting. Using natural weave as a key component, design a exterior or interior that utilises both its aesthetic and physical properties. Use the image as a starting point.

COURSE WORK 1
CW1: The year is 2042 and people are still feeling the effects of Covid. Though a cure has been found and there are no recorded cases since 2025, people are still wary.
Car sharing was once a viable and very realistic option to solve the worlds congestion problem, but, after years of the 6ft rule being enforced; people rarely venture close and public transport has subsequently died. With tram, train tracks, bus lanes now being re-purposed, we now have the space to experiment with āsmall personal vehicles.ā
We are aware of the volume of people requiring these vehicles, and would like your solution to be compact and possibly even modular. Consider solutions to combat congestion before it becomes an issue, as well as the occupants needs both physically and mentally.
We want your solution to consider the technical advances in Ai technology and autonomous driving by 2042.
Your project must include the following:
Ā· Visual and technical research through written and visual mood boards.
Ā· 2 Personas
Ā· 2 pages minimum of Exterior initial sketches inspired by your visual research.
Ā· 3 different concepts showing sketches and rough sketch renders (e.g different form language and inspirational sourcees)
Ā· Chosen concept showing further design refinement and interior design consideration at a minimum.
Ā· 3 final renders minimum front Ā¾ , rear Ā¾ ,side view using any medium you have access to e.g. photoshop, markers, 3D
